Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I own a real estate property in California and have a current mortgage loan but I recently became unemployed, my sister is currently assuming responsibility of the loan and making payments, can I add my sister to my existing mortgage loan by simply writing a letter to the lender requesting this addition?

No and there is no benefit to you in doing so, and it would be detrimental to her credit. If you need her to deal with the mortgage company beyond just helping you with the payments, you will need to get a power of attorney done.
