Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Real Property Title Insurance & Legal Description
Does a mistake in the Legal Description of the property affect title? Several individuals hold shares in a commercial property, and during some of the transactions in the 1980s, an additional lot (actually owned by the neighbors) was included into the legal description. Will this affect title in future transactions (transfers, sales, etc.)?

Yes. This should be taken care of by a real estate lawyer. It is called a reformation of the deed.
