Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Real-estate privacy trust

Would any government agencies have a means to find out what property I own if I put under a Real-estate

Privacy trust? I live in California but property is in another state. If so would it be something they can easily obtain, or do they have to do a lot of investigating?

Under a Real -estate privacy trust could I leave the property to my children someday? If so could I avoid some of the capital gains by slowly gifting the property thats under the privacy trust?

Thank You

Re: Real-estate privacy trust

So, what you are asking is "Is there a way to file a fraudulent tax return, and get away with it?"

There are some things that you can legally do to transfer property to your children without incurring capital gains tax for you, and to reduce or eliminate estate taxes.

There are ways to avoid capital gains taxes, too. To give your all of the vehicles would be too time consuming.

I would suggest that you meet with a good estate planning attorney to determine what your situation is, and what is the best way to handle your estate.

A few dollars now could save you thousands later ... not to mention avoiding the posibility of sharing a cell with Martha.
