Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Received a past-due property tax collection notice from property taxes dating back to 1991. I divorced husband and filed for bankruptcy in 1993. Did not have any income 1980 - 1993 as I was a housewife/mother. Isn't there a statute of limitations for this sort of thing and wouldn't the bankruptcy make all collections null and void?

Bankruptcy does not discharge taxes.
