Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I recently bought a house with a pool which I paln to use as a rental property. It has a fence around the backyard but not around the pool specifically. If I plan to rent to a family with toddlers, do I need to install a fence around the pool? Will door chimes cover me legally?

I'd make sure I was fully insured with a reputable company, then have the insurer's risk-management people come out and take a look for you.
