Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I recently moved into a house which has a cockroach infestation. I am pregnant and not comfortable with the situation nor with any possible pesticides that may be used. I am consequently looking to move again. Do I have a legal obligation to notify a possible future landlord of the cockroach problem in my existing place? The reason I ask is that I have heard that they can travel with you when you move.

I don't think this is a tenant obligation, but for both your and the new landlord's protection, you should be very careful when you pack stuff from the kitchen (or other infested areas) and leave behind or throw away opened packages of food that roaches like.
