Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Can I remove a Garden Border divider that is on my property that my neighbor installed? I had two Surveyors come to measure my property. And the Garden Border is on my property. My neighbor refuses to remove it himself or acknowledge the property line runs between our properties (Inbetween our front driveways)?

If the border is on your property, you can remove it. Before doing that, send your neighbor a letter, by certified mail, with copies of the surveys attached, notifying him that the border is on your property and that it needs to be moved. Give him a reasonable amount of time to remove it, and that if it isn't, you will remove it yourself. Then if he sues you, you will at least be able to establish that you tried to work with him and were reasonable.
