Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

removing a middle initial on a grant deed for a trust

My husband and I have a timeshare property that we own free and clear, and want to remove the middle initial from the vesting on the grant deed. Is is currently in a trust, and we want to keep it in a trust, but we want our names without our middle initial. Can this be done using a quit claim deed?

Why is it so important to remove the middle initial? It should have no legal effect on anything. If it is in a trust, then the trustee has control over the property, not either of you as non-trustees. I would think a quit claim deed has no effect because who is it being stated has a superior title?
