removing name from residential rental agreement/lease (month-to-month) after div

how do i remove my name from a residential rental agreement/lease (month-to-month) that was signed by both myself and my ex-spouse? i was making all the rent payments prior to the divorce and for 6 months after until retirement and savings plans were split and distributed. my ex-spouse continues to live there. the landlord refuses to remove my name as she does not trust my ex-spouse to make the payments. no spousal support was awarded in the divorce.
