Re: Rent
Depands very much on the kind of business, I'd think. Most small-to-medium sized businesses in routine "clean" activities such as light manufacturing, wholesaling, office-type or retail businesses can probably get by using a licensed real-estate agent or broker with comerical property experience in the neighborhood in question. Many also have their proposed leases gone over by a real-estate attorney.
If the property will need extensive or unusual tenant modifications, an architect and maybe a contractor or two should be brought in.
Some businesses will require assistance from specialists; for example, if they need heavy-duty wiring, rail spurs, on-site waste treatment, special use permits and the like, they'll need engineers, technical consultants, and legal specialists in the particular fields.
Businesses vary so much in size and nature, it's hard to generalize.
