Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Rental agreement - 2 owners of a rental home sign a lease agreement with a husband and wife. One owner goes home. The husband and wife want additions but only one owner signs. Are the additions a legal contract since only 1 owner signs?

I'd say yes....each owner would probably be held to be the agent of the other. Suppose there were three owners, or seventeen? That's one of the reasons we have the legal principle of agency.
