my landlord says he will issue me a 3 day pay or quit notice tommorow and that, once issued, the marshall will evict me on the third day. is this true? i always thought that evictions took a long time. my rent is past due 11 days, it is $1000 and my landlord holds a $1000 security deposit. this is only the second time i have been late in 12 months and i am moving out on the 28th.

after the three days pass, he must file a Unlawful detainer action. You have five days to answer then the trial will be set.
