How often can rent be increased in a 1 year period and is there a dollar ar percentage limit?

Baring municipal rent control there is no limit to how many times your rent may be increased nor any dollar limit. However, most landlords by practice keep it to once a year. Whatever the market will bear is the real limit. This is assuming you're on some sort of month to month tenancy, and not on a six month or one year (plus) rental agreement.
