Rental Property
My apartment complex will not return
my pet deposit even though my pet is
no longer living there. How can I get
my money back?

Re: Rental Property
The pet deposit is to compensate the landlord for any mischief the pet might have caused. If you can't convince them in writing to do a walk-through of the apartment, you can try going to small claims court and arguing your case. Good luck!

Re: Rental Property
I'd add to the previous answer, "read your lease." It may contain the answer. Otherwise, I think the landlord has a reasonable argument that it is not refundable until you move out and a general inspection can be made.
