renter moved out, owning money n alot of work needed to house

are renters asked us if they could split the rent into 2 payments, we agreed, they had put it in writing to us, for that is the only way they would respond to us?they paid the first have, on receit we wrote out the remaining balance due at the end of month, they moved out in the middle of nite, there`s more, but i will keep it short, is there anything we can do, thank you for your time

You can sue them for damages assuming you can find them. Then the problem will be to collect. They probably doe not have any assets.
