I am a renter, the property was sold in Dec. I was just given a new lease, 31 Mar. The rent was raised and made a year lease, etc., etc. How long do I have to sign or not sign the lease ? Do I have to immediately start paying the new rent amount or do I have 60 days . I was under the impression I have 60 days and I automatically when to a month to month status.

Under Civil Code section 1946.1, a month-to-month tenant is generally entitled to 30 days' notice if he/she has been a tenant for a year or less, and 60 days' notice if he/she has been there more than a year. However, subsection 1946.1(d) shortens the notice time to 30 days in some situations involving a sale to a bona fide purchaser who intents to use the property as a personal dwelling and other conditions are met. You may want to look up and study Civil Code section 1946.1 and then ask the seller or buyer if they think 1946.1(d) applies.
