Renter's rights

I have apretty simple question-If I give notice to my landlord that I will no longer be living ther as of April 1st ,06 Can he evicte me for any other rwason than not paying rent if I already gave notice

If you are on a month to month rental, he can terminate the tenancy by giving 30 days notice. If you are on a lease, you would need to have violated one of the terms of the lease in order to take any eviction action.

For example, if your lease says no pets, and you have a dog, he can give you a 3-day notice to remove the dog or return the premises to him for breachof covenant.
