Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Renter's Rights

I recieved a 60 notice to quit from my Apt building manager. The notice states that because the building isn't rent controlled, no specific reason is required. Is this true for North Hollywood, CA and is there any action I can take against this?

You can check with the LA Rent Stabilization Board to see if that's true that it's not subject to the law. If that's the case, there's probably little you can do except take the time to find a new place that you like (and get a rental agreement/lease with a renewal option).
