Re: Residential Framing

Residential structures can be constructed from metal framing, similar to what is used in commercial construction. There are many different grades of metal framing materials, so I would obtain the specifications for whatever you intend to use, and then run it past the local building department to ensure that it meets the code requirements for residential construction in your area. There could also be any number of additional requirements for residential structures constructed with metal framing - go ask your local building official as his or her approval is really what you need.
