Could I be resposible for neighbor's dead foliage?

My neighbor filed a claim in Small Claim Court, accusing me not watering my side of fence from 5/10/04 to 10/31/07, causing the dead foliage on their side.

Does it make any legal sense? How likely I will not win this case? Thanks.

Unlikely your neighbor is liable for the care of the foliage on his property. Check with the local court for a small claims court clinic.
