Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I am having the retaining wall behind my property replaced. It has been leaning into my property for some time, from the high side down to my lower side. Is there any chance of recouping some of the cost from the neighbor?

Sure there is a chance. Talk with your neighbor first and ask him to share the cost. Only if that is not successful do you neeed to look at title, property lines, CC&R's and other matters to determine if the neighbor has any responsibility, or even whether it is his land on which the retaining wall is constructed. .
