Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Our Reverse Mortgage went into foreclosure due to Property Tax and Homeowners Insurance that the Mortgage Company paid ... We had a preapproval from HUD on a repayment arrangement, but apparently missed the deadline by an hour and the property was sold ... Is there anything we can do? (We are in Southern California)

There is a limited amount of time and a short list of reasons for setting aside a completed foreclosure sale. I think your best recourse is to have an initial (and usually free) initial discussion with a local real-estate lawyer (or two) as soon as possible.
