Roommate Deposit

My friend and I got a house together. we both put our nmaes on the lease. I moved out and I was expecting to get my deposit back. My roommate told me she was not responsible for it. Who is responsible for giving me back my deposit? I have already been cleared by the landlord, she einspected the house the last day I stayed there and signed a paper that says the house was in good condition and that I had moved out. I want to take my roommate to court for my deposit. What laws pertain to this issue and what forms do i need?

The deposit was paid to the landlord not to your roommate. She does not have your security deposit.
