Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Roommate will not leave-no lease involved

I live in San Diego, California.I am currently renting a home and have a signed lease in my name only.In April I allowed a woman to move in and share the rent with me with a verbal agreement only. She was not happy with the situation and in the beginning of June left me a note stating that she would be moving out as of 7/1/00.Sometime after the first of July she asked to extend to 9/1. Things are not working out and on 7/20 I asked her in writing to please move out by 7/31/00. She doesn't appear to be taking any steps to move out. Question: Does she have a legal right to stay beyond the end of July or can I evict her? She has no signed lease or agreement whatsoever. The lease is in my name only.
