Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Selling property in California
I live in Virginia and am selling a home in California with a friend of mine. Do I use the limited power of attorney form for California or Virginia to give my power of attorney to the other person who lives in California to conduct the transaction.

Re: Selling property in California
With technology today, I would advise that you sign your own name on documents relevant to the transaction. Documents can be emailed, faxed and/or overnited to you. This is generally how it works anyway even if you live in the area.
Notwithstanding, a limited power of attorney, notarized, would be sufficient.

You should use a California "SPECIFIC POWER OF ATTORNEY".
