Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
We signed a home purchase contract with our landlord to buy the home we live in.
Now he has decided to raise the price and we do not agree with that.
He has only told us this change of price (verbally).
Can he try to hold us for breech of contract if we do not buy the home?

No, but if the document you signed included the price and is otherwise valid as a contract, you can hold him for breach of contract if he refuses to sell it to you at the agreed price.
