Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
We signed a home purchase contract to purchase the home we live in. The seller has now decided to ask more for the property then agreed on contract.
He has only told use this (verbally) not on paper that he wants more. If we dont want to buy the home anymore for the new price, can he hold us in breech of contract?

If you have a contract he can enforce it is at the original price, not the new one. Likewise, if you want to enforce the contract against the landlord, it is at the original price. Once a contract is signed, if it isn't totally invalid for some reason, neither party can change the price unless the other side agrees.
