Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Signed a one-year lease 12/06. After it expired, we were on a month-to-month basis until we moved 12/09. There were no other contracts nor was there anything else to sign. Once the one-year lease expires, are we obligated to give a 60-day notice of the move, or is 30-45 days sufficient?

You are required to give a 30 day notice. The landlord is required to give you a 60 day notice if you have lived there more than 1 year.
