Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
after signing a lease our landlord began a bunch of disruptive construction on our residence and the neighboring one. is there any way to easily and legally break the lease?

"Easily AND legally?" Maybe one or the other, but both sounds like wishful thinking.....I'd suggest some hard-nosed negotiations as possibly the most cost-effective approach.

Sue him for breach of the warranty of quiet enjoyment. That is an implied warranty in every lease. That may cause him to release you from it. Contact me directly.
