Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

My son was working at a convention at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego, Ca. For the past few days we had torrential rains. His car got flood damage, water up to the glove box. The floodwaters came from their golf course. He feels that they are responsible for any damages since they were aware that the parking area is prone to flooding. My son asked employees of the Rancho Bernardo Inn, after the car was flooded about this and they acknowledged that the parking area was prone to flooding.

If the Rancho Bernardo Inn and its parent company, JC Resorts were aware and new that there was a possibility of flooding they should have posted signs or a warning. They did not.

Is the Inn and JC Resorts responsible for damages and repairs? All they offered was to have his car towed.

Yes they are responsible. I have worked on a similar case in which a gold course was at least in part responsible for the flooding of homes. I would be happy to write a letter.
