Squatter on Property

I own a property in Fresno County, in which a squatter has inhabited. He has a mobile home on the property and the property is filled with junk. What can I do legal to have the squatter vacated? Also because of this squatter I have been charged with two administrative citations, Do I legally have to pay them?

Re: Squatter on Property

Step 1 - Confront the "squatter" and demand they leave;

Step 2 - If the squatter refuses, you will need to file a lawsuit to have him/her ejected.

If the State, County or City has levied fines against the property you need to pay them or you will likely incur additional fees and penalties. You should contact the agency issuing the "administrative citations" and explain your situation to them; they may be able to help. If you have to bring a lawsuit against this person, your damages will include whatever amounts you have been required to pay to the agency(ies) to whom you have had to pay to clear-up your "administrative citations" as well as damages for trespass, etc.
