Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Stock Holder Rights to Access Company Property

A public utility company owns a piece of land. The company does not care if the public recreates on their land. Access to their land is via a long-used (decades) roadway over another's private property. The company's right of access across this private property is either by deed or prescription. The private property owner recently gated off the roadway to keep the public out, but does not restrict the company employees. Question: As a stockholder of this company, do I have a right of access to the company property via the road over the private property? In other words, do what ever access rights the company have pass on to the owners (stockholders) of the company?

No right to access.

A stockholder does not have the right to enter the property of the company that is not open to the public at large.
