how can i stop a foreclosure
i want to stop a foreclosure so i can look into a lawsuit. what is the fastest way of doing this? and i also dont want to jeopardize my home, due to a good amount of equity

Attorney Stone is correct, however, you can also stop the foreclosure by redeeming the loan. If you make the payments due, there is no possible way they can foreclose. Since I'm assuming that is not possible, then your last option is to file suit and seek an injunction against the foreclosure. A State court will not stop the foreclosure with an injunction to allow you to "investigate" so you will have to get your complaint and allegations together now to convince a judge to stop the foreclosure.

The fastest and surest way to stop a foreclosure is to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Consult a bankruptcy lawyer at once.
