Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Tenant/Tenant Dispute
A family of 6 live next door in a 2 bedroom apt. Since they moved in we have been harassed daily(name calling/death threats). We have 2 kids that can't play outside due to their harassment. Many police reports have been filed but they can't do anything. Our manager gave them a 30 day notice and we're told to be patient & keep the kids inside. Although we were just told today that it could take longer than the 30 days. Our manager told them that he would give them 1 month rent if they move sooner. What are our rights? Can we ask for compensation from our manager? Can we legally leave without giving 30 days notice?

Re: Tenant/Tenant Dispute
It appears that the managewr is doing everything he can so i dont see a lease violation that would allow you to leave early but it appears the problem will be solved soon and you have a responsive manager so I would just wait it out.
