Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Terminating an apartment lease

I've recently signed a six-month lease on an apartment. I am in the process of looking at purchasing a home in the near future (mobile home). My question: should I find the home I want and wish to purchase it, can I terminate my existing apartment lease prematurely without further indebtedness to the apartment owners ..... or must I continue to pay the lease along with the mortgage on my new home? Thank you.

You will have to pay

You will still have to pay on the lease but the landloard has a duty to try and rent out the place to someone else which would reduce your obligation. They cannot just leave it empty and collect from you.
