Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Termination of Tenancy Rights
Does a landlord in the City of Los Angeles have the right to terminate tenancy based on the end of the--name removed--s one year lease for no specific reason? If so, can the--name removed--refute the landlord's request for termination of tenancy and request to go month to month?

Yes, a one year lease terminates at the end of one year. You cannot compel the landlord to continue the lease on a month to month basis unless a local ordinance says so, which I doubt.
