Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

The transmission on my car went out and a friend of mine offered his covered shop area in his backyard, accessible only by opening two locked gates, it has lighting and motion sensors as well as microphones for detection of intruders or whatever activity was going on. I am friends with the home owner but his girlfriend objected to my car being there. He said it was OK and for me not to worry, that was his call. i was staying in my RV at a place where i did not trust the owner of the property so i had taken a very expensive TV, a laptop computer and other items and placed them in the trunk of my car at my friends house where i began working on my car. the day i got started i noticed that someone had stolen the battery out of my car, when i approached my friend about this he was very angry and i heard him in his house yelling at the people who where there, his girlfriend included. he came out and said he would find out who did that and said maybe i can work on the car tomorrow when things cooled down. well the next thing i get a call and was being threatened and yelled at and told not to go back to that house. i ask about my car and was told by this person he would move it, i said that wasn't acceptable but decided to give it a few days to cool down. when i decided it had been long enough i called a tow truck driver to help me move my car somewhere else to work on it, i didn't want any problems, when the tow truck driver and i arrived at the house we were let in the gates to my car. the first thing i noticed was the car had been vandalized badly, the trunk lock was broken and obviously it was pried open. my belongings gone. when i went to the front of the car and lifted the hood i noticed that every single wire, i mean every one had been cut, the car was a total wreck. i ask to speak with my friend and was told he wasn't there but they would let him know that i wanted to talk to him, when i started to call the police i was threatened and warned not to or i would get hurt or shot, i was told to just take the car and leave and not come back. i have yet to hear from my friend about this and i don't think he knows what is going on. he is deaf. he knew his girlfriend wasn't happy with me but our friendship was our business not hers he said. i know a lot goes on around his house that he doesn't know about but thats not the issue. i didnt call the police and am still in fear of my safety but want some kind of action taken. are there any civil laws broken here, do i have grounds to pursue a civil suit. sorry so long but plz help me, that was my only means of transportation, my TV was very expensive and i am disabled so to just go buy another car and tv is out of the question. thank you

Let me get this straight. You aren't willing to go to the police because you are afraid, but you want to know if you can sue these people? Are you for real?

A police report should be made.

Also sounds like you can get mobile and also can get safe by driving your RV to a better spot.
