If a tree from another property falls on yours and causes damage or not, who is responsible for the clean-up and cost of damages?

The owner of the property on which the tree was growing (1) owns the fallen tree and can sell it to the sawmill, and (2) is a trespasser and must remove the tree and pay damages.

I agree with Mr. Whipple. If the tree was originally entirely on the neighbor's property, that owner owns the tree, and is responsible for damages caused when it fell.
