Vacation Notices

If you have lived with a family member, besides parents, and have been paying them rent every month (for 10 months), are you required to give them notice if you plan on moving out and if so how much notice is required?

Yes, if you are paying rent you are a tenant and you should give 30 days' written notice to protect yourself.

The safest way is to give them a written 30-day notice you will be vacating.
