Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I went to go wash a large blanket at the laundromat and later found the machine wont stop. Its been their for hours and the owners say they are not responsible for the damage. What do I do?

This is not a "real estate" question. Please post in a proper category. However, I'm pretty sure the laundromat owners would be found responsible in court, assuming you operated the machine correctly.
