Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
My wife is a Mexican citizen but we live here in California and she is here as a permanent resident. We were married in Mexico and would like to buy a home in California. She does not have a Social Security number yet and, therefore, cannot get a loan on the home. She is worried that I can sell the new home or have all legal rights to the home if I do the loan in my name.....How is the best way for her to feel safe and comfortable that HALF of the property will be HERS and protected from Me or my selling of the property Without HER signature???

First, the lack of a Social Security number seems to be an easily-fixed problem. Have her go to the nearest Social Security office and apply for one.
The ownership issue is also easily handled by taking title to the house, at the closing, as community property or as community property with right of survivorship.
