Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Will I be homeless?

What are the chances of my roommate and I being allowed to stay in our apartment after an unlawful detainer. We have been there 11 months and paid our rent in full the last 10 months. I only had my share this month. So, we still owe 352.50. Do you think that we'll be able to stay if we can make payments?

After a lawful detainer is completed, you will be evicted. Your landlord will not want to go through the process only to let you stay. I suggest you talk to the landlord before the unlawful detainer begins and make some arrangement for paying the rent.
