A judgment can be renewed, following procedures in the Code of Civil Procedure, more than once. However, the ultimate collectibility of the judgment isn't usually enhanced by the passage of time. If you are a judgment creditor, you are advised to take some steps toward collection within a lesser time frame. Have you recorded an abstract of judgment with the county recorder in each county where the debtor may have real property? Have you conducted a debtor examination? Considered garnishment of wages? ...and so on.
