Legal Question in Securities Law in California
1984 social security benefits & law
My father passed 1976. I recieved S. S. benefits for that reason. The law at the time was when I turn 18yrs old and continued college and or trade school my benefits will continue into my mid 20's. The same year I turned 18yr (1984) the law had change to when turning 18yrs old the benifits stop even if you continue school.
Did the law actually go through?
If it was not a final law would I be able to collect back benifits for that time period I continued college and did not recieve benifits at the time (1984)?
Thank you

You should gather all your records and make an appointment to meet with a representative of the Social Security Administration to discuss your situation, They have offices in most cities.
