Legal Question in Securities Law in California
Fantasy Sports Players
Do the digital players that one holds throughout a season or several seasons count as a security?
I would like to start a newly developed Fantasy Sports website that lets you hold the players for an indefinate term. As long as you hold the player, you will continue to earn rewards, prizes, and cash forever.
How would that differ from tradtional fantasy sports with securities law in mind?

Re: Fantasy Sports Players
No. Securities are things like stocks and bonds and commodities futures. I don't know what this gadget you're describing is, but it isn't a security.
