Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

Accused of sexual harrassment

I was recently accused of sexual harrassement in the workplace and written up for it and now required to attend a sexual harrassement class. The person who complained wrote the complaint and turned it into the comment box that is looked at by HR and didn't sign it. How does this affect me if at all? I have been told that HR doesn't have to tell me who the employee is due to confidentiality but they don't even know who it is so how could they have investigated it? This really bothers me because now it is a part of my personal record and could be used against me in the future. I wasn't asked about any of the things written in the letter but was shown it as I was being counseled and told I was being written up for it. Is this legal also? What does an investigation consist of?
