Why did my attorney ask me to cancel my DFEH interview?

It might help to ask your attorney. I suspect that the attorney wants the DFEH to issue an immediate "right to sue" letter so that you can enter litigation in the next few days, rather than wait 8 months to 1 year before it makes a determination.
