Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

I was dating this girl and we were sleeping together but one night at work after hours i slapped her ass and she waited a few weeks to tell the boss. Got fired. Should that have happened? Boss doesnt mind relationships between co workers

Yes. Workplace sexual harassment must not be tolerated. Otherwise, the company could also be held liable if it didn't act, among other things.

They can fire you for anything or even nothing, unless they are firing you on the basis of them discriminating against you on racial or other "protected class" motivations. So whether it "should" have happened, it was perfectly legal for them to fire you.
