Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California

High school yearbook comments

My daughter came home upset by what a male student wrote in her yearbook. He commented on her ''tight ass'' and wrote a whole page about how he wanted to F___ her. She said that this student ''gives her the creeps''. He has never spoken to her in a crude manner before.so she let him sign her yearbook. When she expressed outrage at his comments, he just laughed and walked away. I contacted the school, but they are hesitant to do anything since school is out for the summer. The student may have been joking and might think it is funny, but I have bells and red flags going off in my head about this 17 year old student.
