Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in California
Revealing an accusers name
I reported an incidence of sexual harrasment, and my boss revealed my name to the man I reported, against my request. Is she allowed to do this? She did not ask me what I would like to have done, after I made the written complaint.

Re: Revealing an accusers name
An employer may disclose information that is necessary to conduct a complete investigation. In is not necessarily your right to determine "what you would like done", but if you have suffered additional harassment as a result of the investigation it may make your claim stronger, especially if the alleged harasser is part of management. If he is not part of management, the employer's duty is to remedy the harassment, which often requires that he be told of the allegations.
